The cycle of trainings in Zugdidi was finished. In the conference hall of Zugdidi gamgeoba, there was held the last sixth training. The training was attended by representatives of following administrarive units of Zugdidi municipality – Shamgona, Tsaishi, tsatskhvi, Chakvinji, Chitatskari, Chkaduashi, Jikhashkari, Akhalkakhati. At the end of the training participants elaborated recommendation for prevention of domestic violence.

Thus, the project “Collaboration with local self-government, prevention of domestic violence and protection of victims” (funded by the Gamgeoba of Zugdidi Municipality and with financial assistance of the fund “Sukhumi”).

It was attended by representatives of the administration of the municipality units from Zugdidi: - Oktomberi, Davitiani, Didinedzi, Kakhati, Kakhati – Didi nedzi, Ergeta, Tsvane, Ingiri, Oireme – also representatives of local self-government.

The participants familiarized with the issues of gender and problems of domestic violence and decided to be more actively involved in the process of violence prevention.

Still, continues the work in frames of the project "Cooperation with local government – prevention of domestic violence and protection of victims" (funded by Zugdidi Municipality Gamgeoba and co-financed by the fund "Sukhumi").

At this time, the next fourth training brought together representatives of the administrative units of the Zugdidi Municipality - Ckhoria, Zedaetseri, Tkaiya, Khurcha, Narazeni, Shamadela, Orsantiya - as well as members of Sakrebulo.

For them, the issues discussed during the training were interesting. Especially - understanding of their own responsibility  development of recommendations for the prevention of domestic violence.

In Zugdidi there was held the second training within the framework of the project "Cooperation with local government – prevention of domestic violence and protection of victims" (funded by Zugdidi Municipality Gamgeoba and co-financed by the fund "Sukhumi"). It was attended by representatives of the administration of the municipality units from Zugdidi: - Bashi, Kortskheli, Natsatsu, Ganmukhuri, Grigolishi, Darcheli, Kirov, as well as representatives of local government.

Discussion of issues, specific examples, discussions, development of recommendations - each section of the training was interesting and active. The most important thing is that the participants expressed a desire to be actively involved in the process of prevention of violence.
