Ekaterine Gamakharia, the representative of the Women's Fund "Sukhumi" Tbilisi office, participated in the two-day seminar held during the Council of Europe Visibility Week on April 27-28, within the framework of the cooperation of the Council of Europe Congress and the National Association of Local Authorities of Georgia. The seminar was held within the framework of the "Strengthening Participatory Democracy and Human Rights at the Local Level in Georgia" project, the main topic of which was the strengthening of inclusive communication.
One of the workshop sessions was dedicated to the participants of the local authorities using the "Living Library" method to get to know the personal stories of various vulnerable groups, the challenges they face, and their visions of solving the problems.
Ekaterine Gamakharia, the representative of the Women's Fund "Sukhumi", presented the challenges of the displaced woman to the representatives of the municipality, and spoke about the need for the participation of the displaced people, including women and girls, in the process of developing local policies, and the need to introduce municipal services and social programs to solve the problems they face.

Представитель Тбилисского офиса Женского фонда «Сухуми» обратила внимание на проблемы передвижения населения, разделенного конфликтом с обеих сторон, ограничения, введенные на перевозки грузов для населения на линии раздела, а также на необходимость повышения информированности, навыков и компетенций в плане конфликто-сенситивных принципов для представителей госинститутов, в том числе представителей сектора безопасности, включенных в процесс восстановления доверия.
Ekaterine Gamakharia, head of the Tbilisi representative office of the Women Fund “Sukhumi”, participated in the two-day conference organized by the IDP Women Association "Consent". The conference on "Women and Youth for Positive Agenda’s Creators" was held on April 24-25.
The first day of the meeting was dedicated to the positive role of women and youth in the peacebuilding process, while the second day was dedicated to the situation and needs of the displaced women and girls.
The conference was attended by representatives of governmental and local self-government, as well as organizations working on peace-building issues and the problems of displaced people.
Ekaterine Gamakharia, the head of the Tbilisi representative office, reported on the panel discussion of the conference, which was dedicated to the state strategies and action plans for the IDPs. In her speech, she spoke about the commitments taken by the state in the fourth action plan (2022-2024) adopted by the United Nations Security Council, Resolution 1325, in the direction of the participation of displaced women in the peace-building and decision-making process, as well as in the state programs for women's economic empowerment. She focused on the problems of effective participation of IDP women in the decision-making process and economic programs and specific barriers characteristic of their vulnerable situation and etc.

In April, we added 10 people, at the moment there are 480 people in the database.
This month, the City Hall issued personal travel cards to our new beneficiaries. Each registered family received a 100-GEL food voucher for the store “Carrefour”.
We assisted 6 families. Housing rent was paid for one family that is in a difficult situation - a woman with three children lives in Kutaisi, her husband is fighting near Bakhmut and has not been in touch for more than a month.
Representatives of our organization working with Ukrainians actively participated in the meeting organized by UNHCR, where the problems of refugees from Ukraine were discussed.

In April psychologist Manana Gotsiridze worked with three families - 7 people from Ukraine. She identified their condition and began a free course of psychotherapy.
Everyone needs help because they have gone through lots of difficulties.
Olena, 41 and her family arrived from Mariupol last August. They were in hell for a whole month, their neighbors were dying every day. They had fear and hopelessness. It was a terrifying sight: burned houses, burned animals, destroyed streets... They moved to another city in Ukraine, but there was no peace, no food also... They decided to leave and chose Georgia: familiar, warm, close. According to Olena, it is very good that the Women Fund "Sukhumi" helps with products, but the advice and support of a psychologist is no less important. It makes problem solution easier...

At the next information meeting, members of Zugdidi Women Initiative Group spoke about the problems advocated by the group. This success motivated them to work actively, and they set themselves the goal of solving several other problems.
During the meeting, the participants got acquainted with the activities of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" and current projects. They were also informed about the network meeting.

Members of Tskaltubo Women Initiative Group actively work to promote the implementation of 1325 UN Resolution at the local level.
When communicating with the public, the Working Groups prioritize the issues.
They have examples of successful advocacy. Working groups are now identifying new problems and discussing ways to solve them.
At the ordinary meeting of the group, a presentation of the activities of the Women Fund "Sukhumi" was held. According to the participants, the fund successfully implements various projects.

Members of Senaki Women Initiative Group are actively working on the implementation of Resolution 1325 at the local level. Working groups constantly cooperate with the population and determine the priority of problems together with them.
Social and infrastructural problems remain serious challenges and disrupt the regime of a full life.
Along with successful advocacy, new challenges have been identified. Working groups are looking for ways to respond to these challenges.

The women's initiative group of Khoni continues to work to improve the living conditions of the IDPs.
The group is in systematic communication with the population and local authorities in order to highlight priority problems and advocate for them.
Members of the group point out problems that have not yet been resolved, but are already on the agenda, and think about their settlement.
