Kursebi (Tkibuli Municipality) Public School – here the Women Fund "Sukhumi" has established a youth empowerment center. The authors of the book are active members of this center. They passed a six-month training course on conflict management, violence prevention and gender equality.

The peculiarity of our work with young people is that they not only attend trainings and learn, but also share their knowledge with others.

The students of Kursebi public school were also active: they held informational meetings and trainings, wrote essays, drew thematic pictures, participated in photo competitions, prepared videos and flyers, organized film screenings and discussions...

The most special is the creation of an electronic audio book. The idea came to them right after attending the trainings.

Since "Shushaniki Torture" till today, Georgia has passed a long way in terms of gender equality. However, there is still a lot to do. We want to live in a country where the rights of women and men are equally protected. We must follow Rustaveli's footsteps.

The Fund "Sukhumi" completed the training cycle in Kursebi, but left even more active young people who continue to work independently.

The project is implemented with the support of the organization Brot
