Local self-government is included in the advocacy process

- After identifying the problem, Women Initiative Groups start an advocacy campaign. According to the action plan, in order to collect and exchange information, the moderators of the Fund "Sukhumi" in the villages Pakhulani (Tsalenjikha municipality) and Kakhati (Zugdidi municipality) met with representatives of the Mayor in the villages and majoritarian candidates. During the meetings, they jointly look for the ways of problem solution in communities.

Meeting of Women Initiative Group in Kutaisi

On June 18 Women Initiative Group gathered in Kutaisi. It will work on early prevention of conflict situations, existing in local communities.

The group members passed three day training. They received information about how the conflict occurs, they know what mechanisms can be used for solution of conflicts on early stage. The participants chose several crisis situations and made their analysis.

On the basis of the project, monthly informational meetings are held in different communities. The crisis situations will be revealed and accordingly the work on early prevention of problem will be continued.
