Mobilization meetings

  

In May the work of Women Support Centers was busy as usual. Mobilizers of WSCs of Kutaisi, Khoni, Poti, Senaki, Tskaltubo and Khurcha/Koki (Zugdidi municipality) are in close cooperation with the beneficiaries.

Topics of mobilization – informational meetings were – family, rights and duties of people, domestic conflicts and mediation, facts of violence in family, influence of violence on psycho-emotional condition of children.

During the meeting participants received information regarding the programs of local self-government and existing social packages.

Meeting in the library of Kutaisi

  

In library No17 of Kutaisi there was held informational meeting, which was attended by the library staff and residents of neighboring flats. The meeting was attended by the member of Sakrebulo from territorial unit of Dzelkviani – Kakhaber Dvalishvili, aslo representatives of self-government.

Meeting participants spoke about vivid problems and the problems of library. Mr Dvalishvili mentioned that he often meets the people in his territorial unit, but the meeting of this type appeared too interesting for him. In a small audience the conversation touched actual issues.

Students – on the meeting of Kutaisi GAC

  

During ordinary meeting of Kutaisi Gender Advisory Council (GAC) presented small reports regarding the research, conducted with different target groups. Local gender needs and recommendation of different social groups – answers to these wuestions will be known after analysis of research results.

During a meeting members of the GAC heard information regarding a training conducted in frames of current project. With the aim of familiarizing with the work of GAC, the meeting was attended by the students, involved in the project.

According the schedule, at the end of the meeting members of the GAC fixed the ideas for new project, the work on which will be continued in the initiative group.

3 winners in Terjola, in business projects competition

    

On May 19 there was finished competition of business projects within the framework of the project "Youth development on the new stage." Prior to the competition the commission met to review the business projects. Commission members were representatives of the donor organization PIN and Fund "Sukhumi», local government agencies, the director of the Youth House. Scores were given objectively. 3 best business projects were identified. The winners are: Eliso Panchulidze, Nikoloz Memanishvili and Nano Makaridze. Authors of the best projects were awarded by computer equipment purchased under the project.

Informational meeting in Ozurgeti school No5

 

Informational meeting in Public school No5 of Ozurgeti was attended by teachers and parents.

Most of parents had no information about budget programs. They raised motivation, to learn more about it and use the support existing in the budget.

The teachers spoke about number of problems – there is no gas in schools. The teachers have to change transports to reach to school. They mentioned that they were promised free transportation, but have not get it yet. It was decided to advocate this issue at ordinary meeting of the club of voter women.
